Bhaktapur Durbar Square, located in the heart of Bhaktapur, is a stunning example of Newari architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This historic square was once the royal palace complex for the Malla kings and is renowned for its intricate wood carvings, stone art, and metalwork.

The square features several notable structures, including the 55-Window Palace, the Vatsala Temple with its stone bell, and the Golden Gate, which is considered one of the most beautiful and richly decorated gates in Nepal. The Nyatapola Temple, a five-story pagoda, is another highlight and the tallest temple in the Kathmandu Valley.
