Patan Durbar

Patan Durbar Square, located in the heart of Lalitpur (also known as Patan), is a stunning example of Newari architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Situated about 5 km south of Kathmandu, this square was once the royal palace complex for the Malla kings.

The square is renowned for its exquisite temples, statues, and palaces. Key attractions include the Krishna Mandir, known for its stone carvings, and the Bhimsen Temple, dedicated to the god of trade and business. The Golden Temple (Hiranya Varna Mahavihar) and the Mahabouddha Temple, with its thousands of terracotta tiles, are also notable.
